Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a world-wide inniative to encourage young people to embrace innovation, imagintion and creativity through entrepreneurship. Startup Edmonton, Mayor Don Iveson, the then Premier Alison Redford, EEDC CEO Brad Ferguson & Xennex Founder Randy Boissonnault were the distinguished speakers at the Luncheon at Delta Edmonton Centre Suite Hotel on 18th Nov 2013. Mayor Don Iveson presented a ceremonial plaque to Ken Bautista of Startup Edmonton to declare 18th – 24th November as GEW 2013 in Edmonton.
On 20th Nov 2013, “Students to Startups” was a great opportunity for local students to discuss and discover the building blocks of a solid entrepreneurial mindset while still in school. The free-for-students event was presented by the Startup Edmonton Student Advisory Council.
Launch Party 4 on 21st Nov 2013 was an event for Edmonton’s best entrepreneurs to demonstrate their products. Congratulations to Pinshape, dryrun , Drivewyze, SAM, Cinder.io, Scope Technologies, Localize, Visio Media, Sporting Charts & Accentfree on your launch!
