After Katherine & Ian’s wonderfully sunny spring engagement session, we were so excited to see how they were going to translate their rustic romance for their wedding day! Boy! We were not disappointed – from the flowers in metal jugs and the bouquets by Kate Langdale to the hand -carved name place logs by their friends, Katherine & Ian’s wedding was full of love, laughter and details!
Our day started with bridal preparations at their gorgeous place in Saltdean with make up by the lovely Hayley and hair by the talented Manesh & Mikey (these 3 people were such fun to work with!), before we went with Katherine and her bridal party to Drakes Hotel to don their beautiful hot pink outfits.
The discreet and smiley Chauffeur drove Katherine & her Dad were driven to Coach House in Brighton in an amazing 1930s’ style Beauford convertible car. Have we told you how warm and caring the staff at Coach House were?! Well, they were and they made sure that we well fed at same time as the Bride & Groom so we were able to get all the images and then some!
Katherine & her Dad walked down the aisle to a song played by her brother and their friend, whilst her Mother and Ian’s parents, along with the rest of their family and guests watched.
The speeches were informal, delivered with half the guests standing in bar area of the Coach House, we found that this meant that the speeches were more interactive. So cool!
As huge fans of the Beatles, Katherine and Ian’s first dance was to “I saw her standing there”, ably DJed by Paul Budd.
Katherine & her Mum.
The image above is of Katherine’s Dad waiting outside their flat; Adrian took it because he loved the geometry and light of it. Whilst Katherine & Ian were viewing their images today, they were pleasantly surprised to see this because apparently, her Dad loves appearing at this window every time he and her mum visit them! It’s so interesting what triggers happy memories.
Congratulations again to Katherine & Ian! Thanks for choosing us to share your fantastic day. Hope you had a wonderful honeymoon at Brynhyfryd Farm in Wales.
