9 days ago, we had the immense pleasure of sponsoring a vintage carnival for the whole family. We worked with Bronwyn, Owen & their great team of other Sponsors and Volunteers to raise funds for Alberta World Fit For Children‘s new project in Nicaragua. With the funds raised, they will work with a local community in Nicaragua to build a self-sustainable orphanage.
Some of the fun activities included bean bag tosses, potato sack races, plinko, water pistol games, ring the bottle, straw-blown boat races, fruit sold by The Fruit Truck in conjunction with The Organic Box, vintage cut out photo booth, play ground, freshly made tacos and live music from The Misery Mountain Boys, Justine Vandergrift & Winner of the Untapped Newcomer category at the Calgary Folk Music Festival songwriting competition, Dennis Bouwman. There was also a raffle draw with two winners; the lucky winners received prize packages from a collection of the event’s sponsors!
