On 1st Jan 2012, Adrian & I prayed that come 1st Jan 2013, we’d be in Edmonton, Alberta, living our new life. We are so thrilled and excited as we start 2013 in Edmonton (or #yeg as it is referred to on Twitter, #yeg is equivalent of of LGW or LHR to us Brits. Yes Edmontonians refer to themselves in relation to their international airport). As we wrote in our 2012 roundup, we’re settling in down fabulously!
Thanks to the amazing team at Events Edmonton & their sponsors, we enjoyed loads of free performances from Local Dance Group, fire twirlers, stiltwalkers, Horse & wagon rides, ice skating and an amazing fireworks display at midnight to hearald in 2013!
The roads closest to the festivities were closed so all us revellers could meander through that area of Downtown enjoying everything. Edmonton Public Library in all its festive glory.
Adrian’s love the Bad Boys series of movies means that he’s forever acting the “Bad Boy” for the camera whenever there are Police cars nearby.
Police kept us safe from a few rogue elements.
