I remember my first phone conversation with C about their Edmonton studio extended family portraits in October 2021. The family permitted me to share their story.
It was particularly touching because one of their main reasons for the portrait session was to get photos of L, Grand Mother & Mother to the extended family, as she experiences cancer.
Though we agreed on a session date, the family needed to reschedule a few times due to schedule conflicts and the necessity for recuperation for L as she experienced the debilitating effects of treatments for cancer.
I was more than happy to accommodate those date changes – the least I could do to help relieve the stress of this time – and also because of how lovely and communicative the family is.
The session happened in February 2022 at Hey You Studio was much fun to finally meet and take photographs of this extended family. Studio Haven is absolutely gorgeous and very professionally operated.
The family had planned to surprise L with matching buzz cuts and wigs from various unexpected sources haha – o, the delight on all their faces really helped to light their moods.
L loved the images so much that she ordered prints from FO Photography as well.
A 5-Star Google review from C:
“Due to family scheduling conflicts, I had to reschedule our photos a couple of times before we could finally meet and Funmi was so accommodating and helpful. When we did the photos she managed to wrangle all of us (including some young’ins) into some amazing photos and we had the absolute best time with her. She was professional and friendly, and remembered everyone’s names (all 12 of us) – which was amazing! We had fun and the quality of photos did not disappoint at all. If you’re looking for a professional, friendly photographer, Funmi is exactly who you want!”
Thank you for allowing me to get these lovely memories for you all.
