Grand Designs Live at ExCel London

We’ve been planning to do visit Grand Designs Live since Week 12 of our 365 for 2011 so it was with great excitement that we headed there.

As we walked up towards this lady, we thought how gracefully she waited for customers that we had to take the shot. Loved it so much that we just had to show it to her after introducing ourselves. The lovely Claire of Thomas Sanderson agreed to the 2nd portrait of her too! What a pretty lady! We turned round and saw this guy’s cool ‘fro! It’d have been rude not to get this shot. The first thing we noticed was the art deco style wings in metal on the side of this chair – how cool!  Thanks to Gary& Steve of Underwood Furniture for agreeing to these images being published.

As we walked past Clarke:Desai‘s stand, we noticed this lady deep in conversation. Such a chic outfit! Thanks Chantel for agreeing for its publication. We took this dining table setting shot because I was intrigued by the lamp but we think the couple make it funnier. Soo cute the way the baby is holding onto its relative’s face. Love the lighting on this. It was nice to meet you Barbara of Ecover. Those of you following us on Pinterest know that we’ve pinned several interesting shelving arrangements, so when we saw this we were very impressed. A great contender for pinning, we’d say! The “glassless magnifying glasses” on the right are actually Dyson Air Multiplier bladeless fans.

So we saw this cool guy’s hair that we just had to go and speak to him. We asked for a photo and before we knew it, he’d struck this pose! Thanks, definitely worth the 15 minutes it took him to get his hair to stand like that. View from the upper level of Dyson’s stand. This was just one of the several rooms filled with exhibitors and customers.

We had so much fun and definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about visiting the exhibition which will finish on Sunday 8th May 2011.
