Kristine of Smithstine Copper makes stunning prairie-inspired copper jewelry & accessories. She and her work have been featured in various publications and on a variety of lifestyle blogs. She is so lovely and clearly very passionate about her craft.
Our intention with this portrait collaboration was to show a few behind the scenes images and show her in her home when she is not making her copper products.
Let’s pause to take in her blue eyes and inviting smile. She is this approachable in person and a natural in front of our cameras. By the time we finished the session, we felt like we had known her forever.
Then she surprised us with this bespoke, hand etched camera pendant necklace she made for us. She’d even inscribed it with “FO” at its top. We are truly blown away with her generosity and talent! It is a testament to Kristine’s skill and fame in Edmonton and area that several strangers have identified the necklace as a “Smithstine” piece and then complimented Funmi for her stylish choices (thanks, I’ll take it hehe.). Thanks again Kristine for a lovely session.
You will be pleased to learn that she will be selling her products at MakeIt! on April 8 – 10, 2016, & Royal Bison on May 6 – 8, 2016. If online shopping is more your jam, then check out her recently launched online shop!
