Last week, we had a great time covering the 2nd Annual Mark Spector Golf Classic for Sport Central at The Quarry. All proceeds from the Charity event was donated to Sport Central, a Charity that “is dedicated to removing the barriers to sport for at-risk and underprivileged youth ages 3 to 17 across Alberta and Western Canada. We collect, refurbish, and distribute gently used sports equipment. In 2014, we fitted over 8,300 kids from across Northern Alberta and the North West Territories with more than $3 Million worth of equipment. Sport Central leverages donations at a rate of 10 to 1.”
In 2013, Sport Central received the 2013 Lieutenant Governor’s Leadership for Active Communities within the Corporate Community Leader Category.
So what happened at the Mark Spector Golf Classic 2015?
The event was planned, coordinated and designed by the always awesome Joanna of European Element Events.
The event started with registration and breakfast before the 27 Celebrities and their team members all headed for Tee off.
