Monogram Dinner By Design Calgary | Nyla Free Designs Inc.
Coffee lovers will adore the hand-dyed coffee filter and candle chandelier that was one of many beautiful elements of Nyla Free Designs‘ Dinner By Design installation!
Monogram Dinner By Design Calgary was a 2-day event that brought together Nyla and 5 other Designers, who all designed distinctive tablescapes for attendees appreciate whilst enjoying cocktails and canapes on the first day, and then dinner on the second night. The event was a successful fundraiser organized by The Social Concierge for Alberta College of Art + Design and Contemporary Calgary. Over the last 2 weeks, we featured Amanda Hamilton Interior Design and Alykhan Velji Designs. Prepare to be inspired by Nyla Free Designs!

Salon Noir
Chief Inspiration Officer, Nyla Free explains the concept: “Paying homage to the extravagant “plein-air” feasts of 19th century French monarchs and royals, Salon Noir incorporates romance and whimsy with a modern yet dark approach. Branching away from a typical dining room, we embraced an outdoor experience transporting our guests back in time to a period of socialites and mystery. Combining an air of formality with raw, exposed elements and a “dark” undertone, Salon Noir provides a fantasy experience to an age we only read about. Our concept embraces the exquisiteness of an era where the mysterious ways and wonder ofter feel ghostly, in an ethereal way.”
Nyla said: “She always had that about her, that look of otherness, of eyes that see things much too far, and of thoughts that wander off the edge of the world.” – J. Harris. This poem is the perfect connection to our mysterious dinner guest.”
